I just finished the book last night. Very good. I really enjoyed it. But yes, I agree, knowing this was the last book, is DEFINITELY bittersweet.

I agree that the books are much better than the films. The films miss out so much.
But i think that if you only watch the films and don't read the books then you won't notice this so that's okay.
I do enjoy the films though.

    I can't believe it's all over...

I hate using cliches, but the books are much better. Especially after the first two.

I'm done book 7 now. The book was a very good end to the series in my opinion. I think those who haven't read it yet will be very pleased if they enjoyed all of the other books.

    Hi Everyone!

    Just a tiny reminder:

Please remember not to give out details/facts about the books as this spoils the reading of them by those who have not had a chance. In some cultures the books arrive later because they are written in different laungages. This takes time. So, even giving away past info may spoil the plots for our members whos' first language is not English. I will edit posts if I see facts being given away.

It was on the Richard and Judy show, J.K.Rowling said that one character got a reprieve (for younger readers: THis means that one person who was going to die, won't die anymore because she's changed her mind) she said, as a result of that, two more main characters will die. She stressed that there will be many deaths because - well - it is a war.

What are my thoughts, I hear you ask!

Well if you read Philosopher's stone carefully, particularly the mirror of erised and chess game chapters. You'll see what I'm talking about when I believe that Ron Weasley is the character who was going to die. Now he isn't, as a result, perhaps Hermione and Harry with die? Or perhaps Harry and Ginny?

I firmly believe that Harry will die in this next book. Simply because - as an author - I would only name my series "Harry Potter" for one sole purpose. To emphasise the fact that the series is the legacy of Harry Potter. The books started with his birth. It'll end with his death.
