                      • hmm. I was thinking ancient civilation around the Yucatan penisula but its too mountainous for that region. Maybe more South American Andes.

                        Not that easy.

                        Edit: well crud, I found that mountain in a similar pic but it doesn't tell me where...back to google.

                        Edit2: aha, zeroed in on it...Machu Picchu. 100% sure.

                        OK, this one unfortunately will be for American TV audiences, need two names.
