You need to put the key in the bubble:

Into the fire first to use it. Once you have the canister and the hammer you can escape.

it wont go in the fire

you have to turn fire off, put key in, turn fire on to melt the bubble, turn fire off and get key.

once i finally "burst the bubble" I was able to get out.

I can't find the code. Is it on the piece of paper, as I can't seem to pick that up? Also, I can't use the screwdriver on the blue box.

You don't use the screwdriver to (Either way if you have both the pieces) if you have the blue piece then click the board two times to look at the code and the other piece of screwdriver.(You don't use all the numbers for the code )
