i dont know what to do i have a black hat, carrots, fish and pretty flower

Have you

given the book to the girl at the north gate? Then go to these 3 places.
1) Cliff at the far west(use hat),
2) Forest area to the west(right after you leave the north gate)(use fish),
3) Flower bed west of the town(use flower)
to get 3 deamons. As for the carrots, there is a hut in the dark forest with an old man. You'll get a flute from him

Going fishing again. I'm not great at these type of things. Don't click fast enough or at the right time or something.
and again. How do I get rid of an item I picked up twice but probably only needed one of?
saw lady with wagon and a guy in a cabin in the woods. So making progress.

go out the lower sw corner gate and go up to the nw cliffs. He is shy and fades in and out. Once you talk to him be sure you have the hat

@ the screen where the gate and parents are use the artistic daemon (artemis?). Give him the flute and he starts jammin'
