using the whip

Not having much luck. Can't get the black key out of the lantern. I am thinking I need that sword from reading the posts. So far the whip is useless.

need gold key, have two stones - water & wind, used sword, have one clue I've yet to use, hot water to deal with

check the tiles on the wall next to the basin, there is a wheel behind one of them
