This is technically an online riddle, however the first step is in the paperback book.
I'm creating this thread mostly to alert people to this if they're currently unaware of it.
The author of this book is holding a real contest.
You find the first challenge (gate) from clues in the book leading to a URL.
At the end of the first gate, it gives a hint and code to lead you to the second gate (which will be open to attempts to pass it on July 1st.)
There will be a total of 3 gates, and they will all be based on themes which are featured in the book.
I should also mention; the winner (has to be a US citizen... bummer!) wins a DeLorean!
I apologise if this doesn't suit this part of your site, but I believe a lot of the guys interested in online riddles will also be very interested in this game
