Edit one month later:
I don't receive email notifications for private messages anymore.
I experience this for more then a week so it can't be the upgrade (well, I suppose). First I still got them in my unwanted email box and so I changed it into wanted email. And since then, I don't receive anything anymore. I checked my option in userCP but the option is still marked. Has anyone an idea what the problem might be and how I can fix this?

I stopped getting them a month ago (or maybe more), and I started getting them again last week I also checked many times the option in userCP, everything seemed to be okay, but I just simply didn't get the notifications
Maybe you just have to wait till it starts working again

I was just wondering if the list of subscriptions in your UCP had any purpose on this forum? I mean I don’t see a reason why anybunny would want a subscription for a game thread and it seems you can’t do anything with it. Guess the answer is no.

@Becky, it is indeed odd that some members don't receive your PMs lately. Hope that problem is fixed in the mean time.

Since it has been 4 days ago that I posted my question and there is still no answer I guess I was asking for the familiar way and so I think the answer was indeed no. That is also a method to find things out.

If you are talking about the GH biography thread that was created few days ago then it was deleted by me. It was not necessary since the thread already exists and whenever a similar thread to GH biography was created it was binned but this time it was deleted. I have sent a PM to Bread and explained him about it.

Yup, and I found the Super Sneaky Spy Guy aswell, deleted by Becky.
Well, you both already knew that it was "double" posted and Kyle said "delete it".
We usually just bin threads and add a notice for the poster with a link where the game is already posted.
In that case it wasn't necessary to leave it there for Kyle to see cause she knew that you posted it at the same time

Btw, another reason for disappearing new threads can be, that they get merged with already existing ones.

No, it weren’t threads that I had posted, but wherein I had posted, so that’s why I noticed it.

The first time I noticed a thread was deleted without a clear reason, was when Kyle and I posted a thread for the same game at the exact same time. (Super Sneaky Spy Guy 5, post date 25 November 2006) Well I was about one second quicker and that is probably why his thread got deleted and not mine.
The second case I noticed was about a thread which Bread posted in the game development forum (It was yesterday or the day before yesterday). It was a thread for the biography of your character on GHP, which was obvious similar to “Biography of your character on GH Planet”. I don’t know if someone posted something bad after me, the threads were both just suddenly gone, deleted. I know it’s not really important, but I thought it was weird and it made me curious about it.

I am only deleting spam. 5-6 hours ago i updated gamershoods server´s software, maybe then something happened and your thread disappeared, however i hope there is a better explanation.

I am not quite sure what exactly you are referring to. Is there a specific thread of you that got deleted?

I checked back all the deleted threads from the last few weeks with the result that threads of double posted games got only deleted, if they have been submitted several times within a short time by the same person. It was in such cases, when the poster posted the threads in a specific game category and didn't know that it went into moderation. It didn't show up for him/her, and the poster posted it again 1-2-3 times. One thread was binned with the notification that the game is already posted, and the rest of the same threads by the same person deleted.

But if there is a specific thread you are referring to, I can take a look into it, might be that in exceptional cases a thread got deleted and not only binned, if this happened, probably because there were so many spam threads to be deleted, and in the process of moving into the bin and deleting, it got deleted aswell by "accident".

When somebody posts a thread that’s already posted, 99 percent of the times it just gets binned. But in some cases it gets deleted, however there is nothing in it which is against the rules. I know it is not important, but I wonder why got some of those threads deleted instead of binned?
