why can't i upload animated images for my avatar now
i want to upload 1 i had before but i can't

Well, the current version is 10, maybe this is the problem. You can download the latest version from here, install it, restart your pc and see if it works:

You should be able to unzip files either by doubleclicking them or by rightclicking them and then choose unzip.

how do i use the unzip thing?

On most pc's Winzip is already installed, so double clicking should unzip GTK+. However if it doesn't work, here is a free program to unzip files (files in .zip format are compressed to make them smaller, so you need to "unzip" them or better said to reverse the compression before you can use them).

Okay, did you download the windows versions of GTK+ and of gimp?

Did you unzip the GTK+ file and install it?
After this you should look for a file that says gimp***.exe
(*** for the version number) and click it to install gimp.

heres a pic of the file.. when i click the one beside gtk+ that is wat is says.. *i wonder if this is going to take long..*

Did you only download them or already installed them?
You need to install GTK+ first and then install The Gimp:


1) Upon unzipping and running the GTK+ setup file you are confronted wih the following dialog. Simply click next, agree to the license, and read the on-screen intructions.

2) After it is installed, you should run the file "gimp-2.0.1-setup.exe to install GIMP.

i go to it then the download thing click the top 1 the save it to a file then when i go to the file to start it up it says

C:\WINDOWS\My Downloads\0.0_LATEST-IS-2.2.12 is not a vaild Win32 application

wat does that mean?
