got through 1 and 2 good but now stuck on 3 have all the items and even combined but at a loss at what to do now help please

nice game ............finished the 3 stages.
for the third stage end:

use the screwdriver on the lighter then use the lighter on the fire alarm(above the chair) then open the window that has an exit sign on the right then put the ladder(looks like box with 2 hangers) and get out!!

I was stuck at the end of 3, too. Does this help you, too?
