The last two inventory slots are still empty and I can't see what to do with the lighted candle or the bottle of yellow liquid. The post box (?) turns the pointer to a hand but nothing happens and I can't see what to do with the whale. I don't want to give up so would be glad of a hint .. thanks.

NVM .. I got there at last. Loved the bouncing snowman in the final scene.
In case anyone else gets stuck where I did, here's a hint:

Drip the wax from the lighted candle into the bottle of yellow liquid.

Click on the star on the tree.
