Yesh, I got a sofa, a chair and two end tables from my grandmother's storage unit. And I spent the week after Christmas steamcleaning them. Surprisingly, I only have one box in the living room, and it's practically empty. I'm just too lazy to move it. Of course, I've got a couple dozen boxes in my guest closets and garage!

AWESOME!! I am looking everywhere for free hand me down type furniture, but not quite finding any. But when I do, I will do some steam cleaning, too. Wouldn't it be nice if we were rich and could buy all our own furniture. WOOHOO! Yeah, some of my boxes are almost empty too.

@Escape--That would be wonderful! I've actually got some money saved for a nice, new entertainment center, but I'm waiting till I find the right one. I'm glad that I have the second-hand looks-good-from-a-distance furniture for now... I can add newer stuff as I get the money.

@Crimson....Oh, that's great!!!! I will likely have to buy one from Walmart or Target. Hehe. But ssh..don't tell. LOL. And well, if the furniture looks good at a distance...you can have guests over and just give them the tour from the doorway, and don't invite them to sit down!

@Heart...Proactive means that you are actively working to accomplish things. (Such as the things you mention in your sig. )

Oh, I'm glad I made sense to someone! I didn't even understand it completely at this hour. And Walmart/Target furniture is good to get you started... I've bought plenty of intermediary furniture there.

@Heart--haven't you read the GH dictionary? "Tomato" is "tomorrow" here! I've even caught myself saying tomato to my kids when talking about the next day's activities.
