It depends, they were originally writen for the Children at the Royal School for the Blind in Liverpool, I guess I didn't read it all, but he is English.

My mom read the first one and she liked it and I think that that one was the worst

No it isn't. Guess you never heard of the famous book Watership down of Richard Adams, which has animal characters (rabbits), but it is certainly not a book for children.

I guess ur right,but i always used to and still do associate talking animals wid chilren books.

yes, you are right. The book and movie called in Dutch "Waterschapsheuvel". Later they created a televison series of it.

WHAOOOOOH, Last weekend I finally did read: Crusade in Jeans (Kruistocht in spijkerbroek) of Thea beckman. The best book I ever read of her. It is translated in English, in case anyone would read it too.
