yeah. i hate that. i usually read fast at those parts. and if it takes me too long to get through it i will just stop reading the book, or skip that part hahaha.

i dont do it often. because it makes me confused. but if i liked the book and it just randomly gets boring.. ehh yeah.

I had that with reading the second book of Lords of the rings. I enjoyed the first book so much, but after the fellowship split, my attention was getting lesser and lesser. And after reading 200 of boring pages I quit with it. But maybe it had something to do with the Dutch translation. I didn’t read the original English version. E.g. Harry Potter in the Dutch translation really sucks.
The original books of Harry Potter were all lend out at the library (and the next half year after), so that's why I started to read the Dutch translation of it and stopped after already 50 pages. The names of the characters where so bad chosen...not any fun to read.

I'm a fan of all kinds of books and genres. My favorite author is Dean Koontz. I also really enjoyed Memoirs of a Geisha (before it was a movie), yes, even at 27, I enjoy the Harry Potter series.

The 4th book of the Harry Potter series was also bad translated. The language wasn't the best. As you might know, in Portugal we speak portuguese, and in Brazil, they also speak Portuguese, though it's a different portuguese (to be honest, I don't really like that kind of portuguese), and there were some parts on the book with portuguese from Brazil. I got really mad when I read that! aaarrrgggg....

i never really got in to the harry potter books but i loved the movies. i dont really read that much but i recently started reading the godfather thats a great book.

The movies were good....but I especially liked the books. If you ever get a chance, you should give it a second try. They're fun!
