Ball Lightning is an amazing phenomenon. I first learned about it when my favorite author mentioned it in his book. It fascinates me.

Volcanoes can actually cause lightning strikes, but I have searched and searched but nowhere will tell me why.

I'll give it to RBS. The main reason is that his was the only one I've never heard of before, and it is pretty cool. I remember seeing an anomaly where the rain wasn't heavy enough, so it went back up in the sky, then came back down. It had a name, which I forgot. Congrats, RBS.
