Was your tassel all red? If I remember correctly, your school's colors were VERY similar to my high school's colors. And our tassel wasn't just red.

Ummm... out gown/cap was red, our tassel was red/silver, lol
But, as far as a few pixels thick is, I think the tassel looks good as-is
