yeah i'm always suprised why cricket isn't well known in "sports mad America" but I guess you've got baseball,basketball, Hockey etc.
this 20/20 format of the game is fairly new (about 5 yrs old) basically each team has 20 overs (6 balls per over) to make as many runs as possible. It's basically a big hitting event.

26. Baseball, football and basketball take all the good TV time. Golf has been really strong in the Tiger era but that could be in jeopardy. Hockey and soccer barely get any airtime. Poker gets more nowdays.
