how do I get to this page without going through visitor messages?
and how do I know who's on line?

On the Forum page scroll down to the Chit Chat section, click Forum Games, in Forum Games look up Member Forum Games and in there you will find the link to this gamethread.
You could also use the subscribe option we have on this forum and then you can put all the threads that you like in one place and visit it via Settings. (That is how I do it )

To view who is online:
On the top left of you page you have some buttons. Click the one that says: Quick Links and the last option in there is to view Who's Online.
