    So carriage return, that's how it's called.
    When I was a kid I always wrote short stories about dogs and my parents bought me a typewriter (it was a newer model than the one on the pic but it was a mechanical one). You had to hit the keys really hard and my fingers always got stuck between the keys. It was painful... o.O

      Yes kids, for some of us on here, this was our "word processor" !!

      I typed WHOLE term papers on this monster

        i know what you mean. these days the computer is so common that most kids don't even know how to live without one. but oh well. the curse of technology.

        it that some kind of cloth used for wall decoration with sewing on it?

              The brown thing in pic is wood but isn't a wall but part of the object.

                oh i see. i thought it was the wall under it...

                then. i'd venture the guess of an ironing table, but the edge and pinning of the cloth is too rough for it.
                how big is it this object thingie thing?

                  Significantly smaller than an ironing table, you can easily keep it on your palm. The staples are rough but it's designed to be durable. Nothing to do with housework.
