  • Oooo almost a dead heat but Jack is right. Its called the Reckoner and it actually never worked the way Leibniz hoped it would cause they couldn't fabricate all those gears precisely enough. Good job both of you.

    • Hi Mistery!

Great guess, Jack (and Mistery. Seems your alienish speed wasn't fast enough for a hamster. )

Jack, you want the name for the whole object?

            • Jack are we looking at this as a whole or mainly just the spoon thing?

              • @Mistery - Just what it is. You don't need to be specific

@RBS - The whole thing functions as the device, not just the spoon.

                  • Maybe some sort of wind direction gauge

(Oooh actually it looks like a clock that thin thing is a hand )

                    • Nope, not a sundial.

This device is still used today, although its much easier to use.

@heartofdarkness - no, but that is getting closer (your first guess)

Hehe, sorry, my question was intended to be the same as RBS'

Hmmm... is it used for cooking?

                              • Nope. Not used for cooking and is not a gutter or wind gauge.

This was used in ancient China.
