I have used one - but which looks completely different, and more familiar.
I haven't used this one yet.
You use it at home. You use it on a certain type of "natural" food that grows on trees.

crank is an ok description. Not for a toy. Most professional players of this instrument would keep it in a case. Using only before or after a performance.
