I think you guys need to take one more step and find out what they are and what is the purpose for them. As stated before, they do not go "under" anything, so it is a bit of a misnomer.

They are for Lyrical dance, where dancers are barefoot. The bottom has a leather sole, so the dancer is capable of turning on the balls of her feet.
