The Vauni is supposedly the world's first globe-shaped ethanol fireplace. It also is the world's first hearth-tribute to the insatiable Pacman. It's not, really. But it reminds me so much of the arcade favorite that roasting marshmallows will always be accompanied in my mind by the sound of surrying ghosts after Pac has eaten one of the charge up pellets. The shell is made of cast concrete that gives the material ""fascinating properties and charm." Whatever that means.
