Since the topic school systems in different countries has brought up again in chit chat, I thought it would maybe be nice to explain the school system in the Netherlands for everyone who is interested.
Lili from Japan has already explained the education system in Japan in chitchat, but I like to quote her:

Only in fact it?s a bit more complicated. E.g. you have combined HAVO/VWO schools where teens can choose after two years if they go further with HAVO or VWO. Also has the MBO has differents levels: level 2 (2 years), level 3 (3 years), level 4 (4 years) and level 4 specialization (2 years, minimum required previous education HAVO or MBO level 3).
