She's fine thanks, seems to be healing up nicely though it does make her a bit slow at work having to wear the brace & her arm gets tired so she has to wear her sling.

Pfff, I am definitely born on the wrong side of the world....
It all sounds like a lot of fun
How is the wife doing with her wrist??

Had a fine little party & jam session on Sunday, I fried up about 12 lbs of fish & shrimp, several lbs of French fries & my wife's famous coleslaw (even people that don't like coleslaw-like me-like hers) & for dessert we made ice cream
The music was good, though bein' the head chef I spent a lot of time cooking, but got to spend time with some old friends we'd recently reconnected with & after the wind shifted we were able to sit outside on the deck enjoying our cocktails

Howdy point click man!
Got a call last night to play a gig on Friday at Molly's, I don't really know the guy who heads up the band but the fact that he's hired my good friend Jeff G. to play bass means it should be a good night.
I know the drummer he's been using & the guy's a jerk, he tried to argue with me about a Ludwig set that was made in the early 70s, told me I didn't know the difference between a tom & a timbale & that Ludwig never made such a set. Guess who was right?
Protip: Do NOT argue Ludwigs with someone who's been playing them for 40 years
Last time I saw him I had the pleasure of telling him he wasn't playing the cumbia right
I may be a dirty white boy but I do know Latin beats

What a fine day yesterday, we went to our local saloon, Molly's to see our friend Tall Paul play & on top of
the perfect weather it was made even better by the unexpected arrival of some old musician friends I hadn't seen in awhile:

L-R: Greg (the 1st musician I met when I moved to Albuquerque), Jimmy (an old drummer friend), Jimmy's wife Bobbi, Buzz the Drunken Steel Guitar Playin' Man, my wife, me & Paul with his goddaughter.

Many years ago when I was on the road we played at the Holiday Inn in Spearfish, South Dakota. I didn't know it 'til we got there, but the town was settled by German immigrants. The guy who ran the Holiday was from Germany & he was also a chef. He really liked our band & said we could eat at the Sunday lunch buffet for free.
Me & the guys had never had German food before, but we were always up for tryin' anything, 'specially if it was free
It was great!!! We stuffed ourselves, well except for the lead player....when informed that he couldn't get a cheeseburger with nothing on it (his tastes were....simple) he drove 3 miles into town to get one.
