YEah i can see your point. That was like 2000 years ago eh, but you know A LOT of religions believe in Gods( i know you know , but it's hard to believe in a God you can't see or hear, maybe in Satanism you can sacrifice/ritual and see something :-#). So you think 2000 years from now that people will know how we lived or, see we can't really tell i guess

But honestly I think someone made it up to glorify him and make him even more special than he was, and to convince others he truly was the son of God.
Well, I dunno, it has been a long time ago I read those parts of the bible. Lets just say some things are true, some things might be true, other things aren't. Just my opinion.
i agree with Adventure. I don't believe in the miracles but i do believe there was a person called Jesus. I can't see how he could have come back from the dead and how he made water turn to wine. I think it's good for some people to believe in something greater than themselves but it's just not for me.

i am an atheist, but i think it's better that those who believe in God and Jesus believe. they have something to look forward to when they die, and none of us even know if it's true or not, so we can't say that there IS ABSOLUTELY NO GOD. plus, the lessons and things in the bible are great. i follow them most of the time. i know a lot of religious people, and they are very very nice and sweet. most people that figure out that i'm an atheist try to convert me to whatever they are, and i just can't do it. i just don't believe anymore. i know, that sounds very bad, but it's just the way i am. oh, am i getting off topic?

hmm, no ones ever tried to convert me to a religion before.
my school is anglican and we pray everyday. i don't pray and i feel bad that others are, but i just don't see the point in it. i don't believe anyones listening up there.
the only time i pray is wen something terrible has happened like someones died or wen something terrible is going on in the world. that's the only time it ever feels right to pray.

I am a Deist. I do believe in a higher power, but I am not a member of any organized religion. This is a very researched position for me. I have read the Old Testament and New Testament. I have also studied the religions of many cultures, ancient and current, in my spare time as well. I have just seen things in my life that lead me to believe there is a ultimate plan for us all. I believe that all religions that teach their followers to love their fellow man are good, just as long as the followers truly do that and live peaceful lives. I think that those who don't believe in a higher power are also typically good people and want the best for the mankind. There will always be those that twist the words of their prophets to achieve violent ends or follow their own evil agendas. I think the majority of the people in the world are good and decent people though and respect other people and their cultures. I really think the meaning of life is to achieve complete harmony. I truly hope that is possible one day.

sorry for cutting in front of your post so soon Jack, i read it though,

i was just wondering if anyone thinks that talking to the dead is possible, and if your dead then if your afterlife is different I guess that doesn't need an answer. Just talking..

I don't know if they can directly speak to you, but I feel they can influence you. Whether its memories or a more direct influence I can't say for sure. I have seen things which make make wonder.

Hmm,good point GH1..I've often thought about that.

I suppose it's possible...in a sense,I mean if God can create the universe..then why not?

Also(and yes this might sound crazy, but stick with me here)..what if they're "in-between"...or not fully dead.It does take a totall of FOUR MINUTES for a person to be proclaimed "dead".That's when the heart permanately stops beating. So what if?...

Yeah,I agree it just seems illogical that it would'nt be possible.

I am Jewish. I believe that G-d exists. I believe that prayer is to be directed to G-d alone and to no other. I follow the Ten Commandments that G-d gave to Moses on Mount Sinai
