Where it says (in my earlier post) "freeware", they are free. However to be able to create an .exe that other people can use to play without having the original software you made the game with, you usually have to pay. But I'm only sure for Adventure Maker, I don't exactly know how it is for the other freeware programs in my list. But since you are bored, you could make a search on Google/Altavista for this programs and read what is said on their homepages how it works.
