My favorite american word in general is hubby. It's sounds really nice and let me think of a buddy husband. My boyfriend is also my buddy, so that's why I call him always hubby.
@ HollandGirl: Do you know this Dutch sense?
Als vliegende vliegen achter vliegende vliegen vliegen vliegen de vliegende vliegen vliegensvlug. Do you get it?

yup and i like it, though i'm used to say it like this: als vliegen achter vliegen vliegen vliegen vliegen vliegen achterna
and do you know these:
1. zeven scheve schotse schaatsen schaatsen scheef
2. achtentachtig prachtige grachten
3. zesenzestig rode bessenflessen
4. hottentottententententoonstelling
number 1 and 2 are cool to learn to people other than dutch, cuz they can't say the 'g' or 'sch' properly so when i was in poland (guitarcourse) i tried to teach some people those sentences and we were having sooo much fun cuz they we stuttering on every word omg that was the best part of the holiday, when i walked that evening through the hallway one of the doors was open and that boy was telling that sentence to his friends haha it sounded soo bad but then again, i've once read some lines in polish and then i quit, no polish for me, they're used to words with 5 consonants in a row! like this place: szczawno-zdroj pff.. too hard for me!
