Hot Hot Hot!!!! woke up this afternoon (I work nights) and my A/C had died. 3 phone calls and $275 later I finally have A/C again. Lucky I have floor fans to help cool me off while I was waiting for the repair dude to show up.

Yeah, that's a big difference between 50 and 90F!
I don't like it when it's too cool and wet in Summer, but heat can be also pretty rough if you can't go to the beach or so.
Anyhow I hope that we'll get some warm days this Summer.Comment

I don't mind the heat at all, it's the humidity that makes it so bad. I'm about 15 miles from the beach but I don't go anymore, too crowded.

Yes, you are right - dry hot weather is better to support than a high humidity.
Well, we have only "artificial" public beaches here with swimming pools, and they are always very crowded. We could drive to a lake, but it's not that near, and also there are almost no nice places anymore. Mostly crowded beaches, the rest is private (a lot of weekend houses and villas).
When we get rich (lol, nice dream, won't happen), we'll buy a house at a lake...
