I live in a medium area, winters here range from about -6 C to 12 C. I should have been born further north I think .
Well, those temperatures are quite extreme for the Netherlands. And on the sea side the temperatures are on this moment about 10 degrees higher. Normally our winters are between the about -5 to 15. So you have a chance to get such temperatures one day too.
well i live farther south than jack but its not really cold here
but we are having another flood at the moment uhh i hope we get out of school
lol i have already heard we have from one of my friends thats moms a teacher lol but idk
so its been raining for two days and it is soaked lol we had a flood a week or two ago so the ground is still saturated so the water is rising extremly fast and it is supposed to rain for another day i hope it doesnt get too bad (we have 5 creeks that cross my road in a mile lol so if it floods i cant leave) and there are rivers everywhere so it gets bad fast here and the schools have ponds behind them and they overflow easily so if it gets bad we get into trouble fast.
-9°C in the night, around -5°C during the day, plus a chilly wind.
I know it's a little bit warmer than at your location, but still... much much too cold for aliens - especially with a cool home... ermmmm... I mean spaceship
Snow is good, but I can do without the ice . So far it has only flurried once here and it all melted as soon as it hit the ground. Every time we have a cold spell here it never does anything, but as soon as its above freezing it starts raining. I just enjoy sitting on the couch and looking at snow, its so relaxing. Hopefully it snows at least once before the winter ends.
Edit: @Mistery: - 9 Celsius is pretty warm for outer space, isn't it. I was thinking it would be closer to absolute zero there.

Oh, but the wind makes it feel much colder. Gladly we don't have much wind. The central heating system doesn't function well? No wonder you type so fast. But seriously in that case I hope you get warmer weather after this cold period.

Aww, I hate when that happens. That is usually the case here too. You get all enthusiastic when it starts snowing, but then it just melts when it touches the ground.

Yeah, wind makes it much colder.
Well, one day it will get warmer - in 1 week or in 2 months In the meantime I'm thinking about moving into the oven
