Autumn weather is on it's way. We're still having warm days (supposed to reach 80 F - or approx. 26 C - today) and then our evenings are starting to get a little chilly. Tonight it's supposed to be 47 F - or approx. 8 C. I do enjoy the fall after such heat during the summer. Now, if only we could get some rain in the forecast...(after my new roof is on my place. )
We remain pretty warm here. Temps are in the high 70's F (approx. 26 C) during the days, and only dipping down to 51 F during the night (10 C). Sunny. No rain in sight, unfortunately. But kids will be happy that's the case for Halloween. No trick-or-treating in the rain.
Just a coupla inches, but it's early,I'm guessin' we're gonna have a lot this winter seein' as how there's an El Niٌo this year.
It also means I lost the bet with our bass player,I bet it wouldn't snow before November 15th.Oh well,I'm sure he'll let me help him drink that case of beer

We are starting to feel that same weather system. Tomorrow is going to be bad news for drivers since Houston floods so easily. Halloween is supposed to be nice though.
More snow, this time about 6-8 inches & still comin' down. This is good news here in the high desert since we always need moisture. Also we get to try out the our Jeep Patriot in the snow,Mrs. Freddie just drove to the store, about 6 miles & said it did great, even with the stock AT tires.
The skiers are jumpin' with joy.

Conditions are ripe for snowfall in Houston today. Maybe 2 inches coming. Wrecker drivers will earn a lot of Christmas money today the way we drive in it down here.
@Freddie....Sounds like fun. But I'm not one to drive in snow. Scared of it. Only driven in it a couple times. One was over the Sierra Nevada mountains during a snow storm that they didn't expect until the next day. Scared the heck out of me. SO HIGH up there, and my car was sliding in the snow, despite my very low speed, and I had no chains (as the snow wasn't supposed to hit until the next day and I wouldn't have known how to put on chains anyway). I thought I was going to slide off a cliff.
@RBS....Sounds like how people drive in my area WITHOUT snow.
Got about an inch or so, I'd say. The administration at my school let us take all the students outside and run around in it for 5 minutes. It's such a rarity here, I'm glad they got to enjoy it for a bit.
