I have many possessions, but seem to have come to an impasse

Has anyone found where to use the

Shovel and Pick Axe ??

Also,

I found the gun, and bought the bullets, and they don't combine !!

get the guy out of jail and play poker, and find the key for the shed. The gun intimidates the post office guy, with out bullets. Set every clock I can find to 8:00 PM

I can not combine anything and am completely stuck.

Took a few hours rest, and finally beat it (after twice restarting).

I have bought a few things but I don't even know if I need them. Missing one playing card so I can't play cards yet.

Must be doing something wrong because I can't leave.
It keeps telling me that it is not time yet but I have done the thing with the clocks.

Okay, I have restarted the game but it still isn't working so I just pretend that I got out.
