Clockwords is a hectic word game set in Victorian London. You are a genius inventor who discovers plans for a mysterious machine that runs on the power of language. Then your lab is infiltrated by mechanical bugs that have come to steal your secrets! You must think and type quickly to fend off the invaders.

I haven't figured out why some words are invalid.
    Don't forget you are awesome.

Well, all word games rely on a list of words that are seen as valid.
I haven't played this one yet, but probably the game author didn't feed a whole dictionary into the game

      EDIT
      Hehe, fun game
      *Goes back to play*

      Lol, "spam" as invalid word?

What I really like that you are not only limited to using the letters you see.

      EDIT
Friday is also invalid So today is an invalid day

Have you tried using the word of the day from dictionary.com yet? Very cool.

I'm quite behind you. Just starting level 7...

EDIT: Stopping at 11 for now, as I'm getting very tired and the evil spiders almost had my secrets this last time! Time to watch some more 24, and head to bed, I think.

just starting - all I'm sure of is I can not use letter(s) on the tanks. I think more points if you don't use any of the same letters in the next word you try.
being distracted .. dog wants out, phone rang, ... I'll have to try again when it is quieter

@Nannajoy....You WANT to use the letters in the tanks. Those create more "damage" and give you more letters to choose from that will cause more damage.

i just thought id say that this game uses words from dictionary.com (hence the 'word of the day thing') so it does have a full dictionary. It wont work with proper nouns (words beginning with capital letters) like Henry or Monday, and wont work with new words like 'spam'.

And its a hard game! im on lvl 13 and im stuck... i dont know if i should use my precious 'Q' and 'J' to make a brass letter or jade letter.... they sound really cool, but i only have two lvl5 letters.

ha, I've been playing this for two days and can't stop - must say it's absolutly great. (and maybe finally I will improove my spelling )

The jade and brass letters ARE cool. It's hard to get to level 20 without them. I'm on level 31

Looks like there is going to be a continuation for this game. Can't wait :>
anyone got an new game to share?

                        I don't sleep 'cause I don't want to
