My solution was pretty simple:

1. Click go until you have points. 2. Unclick every symptom. (Repeating step 1 as necessary.) 3. Click all of the ways to spread the disease that aren't symptoms (Repeating step 1 as necessary.) 4. Pretty soon every person on earth will be infected; no one closes down traffic because the disease has no symptoms. 5. Click all of the symptoms (Repeating step 1 as necessary.) 6. Boom, everyone's dead!

I don't think so. I think the "new" part is referring to the fact that a new virus is infecting the earth's population.

The very first thing that you should do is uncheck "Human Only." Animals can then carry the disease, and don't rely on public transit systems to get around.

This area is the toughest to infect. Make sure that you keep lethality and visability low (by unchecking all symptoms but one, such as fever), while increasing infectivity as much as possible.

I recommend removing "Human only" as soon as possible, and then adding "Waterborne" and "Body Fluids." Then, I like to add to the top 4 options, starting with "resistance to moisture," until all options except "Human Only" are selected. Select "Airborne" only after Western Europe is infected.

After infectivity has the highest stat possible, continue clicking "Go" until Western Europe is infected. Then add back the symptoms ASAP.

How I've managed so far:

- Before you do anything, remove the "sweating" from the lethality box.

- Nothing really happens for a while, as you don't get enough points to do anything. It isn't until day 17 or so where you actually get enough points to be able to do things.

- From here, it's a matter of personal preference. I like to wait until I have enough points to remove "Vomiting" from the lethalities, and then work on from there.

- The Lethalities I like best are fever, the immune system and anticogulant, because these have no visibility. Fever helps to begin with - on its own - because it keeps the people dying while you can work on building up your transmission.

- After this, it's better to save up for a while and then upgrade to airborne and waterborne virus at the same time, then go for bodily fluids and further upgrades. When these are complete, Focus on the lethalities.

My only problem with the game is that Western Europe seems to take a lot longer to catch the disease than any other country. Any helpful hints on this would be greatly appreciated!

First go to symptoms menu. Deactivate humans only. kill 100,000 people. Deactivate all symptoms and click go 20 times. Activate all symptoms and you should win.
