there is a clue in the bin of that room, if you turn the light on. I think, but can't get it to work so may be wrong

Am i right in thinking that the clue in the bin is to do with the piano. If so how do I get it to work, have tried everything i can think of with it.

Play the melody from the note that you have got. Observe that for one of the notes there are 2 possibilities ;-)
