Yeah, I saw that. I was just showing you what the bottom of the screen does instead of showing me text. So far, it's just that scene. I'm still exploring. Loving it.
Yes, I have heard that a few people had problems with that scene in terms of text. Didn't figure out how to fix it, maybe it has to do with graphic cards... The rest shouldn't cause problems
Sorry, I got to go, hopefully you'll find all clues and can finish (there are some hints in the thread)
If not, then save, and I'm gonna help you tomorrow
See ya
I finished it! What a great game. Loved it! Again, love the graphics and sound too. I did need the hint you gave old biker earlier in the the thread, but otherwise I seemed to have done it all on my own. Thank you dear!
Rating 2/10
I'm wondering how many of those who have voted have actually played the game, and how many who have played it have placed a vote
Must be really crappy.
I didn't vote. I never vote. But I will now, because the game was FAR from crappy. (I'm showing only 2 people voted (and now me, too) and it has 5 stars...
My brother went to try the game it said it was trying to contact the internet, but his Norton blocked it. I know it's a safe game, and I told him to allow it. I think it had said it was connecting to a DNS server?? He was just wondering why...
And NO WAY is this game crappy!! I LOVED it, and the first one!! Don't think that.
Thank you Escape
Sorry, I just needed to vent because I was so disappointed. Not that I'd expected a high score, but a 2 was just like a slap in the face, and not really motivating to finish my current game.
I have honestly no idea why your brother has experienced this. The game does not contact any servers or websites. I have re-downloaded the game from my site, and played it through to check, but nothing.
Can you tell me when Norton reacted: upon downloading the game, upon installing, or upon starting the game?
And if possible, can you (or your brother directly - you can give him my email) send me a report log from Norton (I'm sure it's in a warning or event log), so that I can see what exactly triggered the warning/blocking, and what the message exactly is?
I understand. Just don't be discouraged at all. Honestly, people love your games. Seems weird it only had 2 stars when you looked at it, and 5 when I looked at it. I'm really looking forward to your new game, too.
I was there when he tried to play it. It popped up several times. Once when he was trying to install, and then several times during the initial 2-3 screens of gameplay. He got nervous and uninstalled it. I will see if I can get the event log from him for you.
Thanks, I'd be really glad to get the log(s), as it's important to me to clear up this issue as you might understand.
Another info that I'd need is if your brother has installed the codec mentioned in the first post before installing the game.
Nope. He didn't install the codec. Still waiting to hear back from him about the logs. Maybe he was getting that message because he DIDN'T install that???
I don't know. But this is an important info for me.
However I don't know what this could have to do with Norton.
I could also think of a heuristic definition of Norton that has reacted to something. I'd need to see a log to be able to figure out what the cause might be.
