I solved the letter code and the switch thing where you use the wrench.I can't figure out the white and black tiles and the 9 square tile things.

So far it was easy but now I'm stuck on the four symbols riddle. Am I correct assuming that...

...they'll stop jumping back to my inventory, when put in a right sequence?

They go back into your inventory if you got them wrong,that's right.

Examine the planet some more (click on the left edge of your screen to go back) to find the clue in which order you have to put them.
