Are there any instructions or anything... I know there's a walkthrough.. but I can't get my character to move anywhere. All it says is that the doors are open, but it won' let me go through

It's not a gory game... but there are a few quite unpleasant parts. I suppose if it was a movie it would be rated either a 12a or a 15. If you really wanna play Chimmey, the only real thing I could suggest is that you ask your parents or an adult to play it through first to check it out.

this has really annoyed me, i had no idea how to save the game, and so i got close to the end and died....well i think i died. a monster pops up and then it goes to the title screen.
how do you save it to allow yourself to come back to it?

Go to the inventory at the bottom of the screen, then righclick twice the "S" at the right part, until it says "Game saved".

Yah. The Readme.txt has everything you need to know, such as how to save, how to use your map, how to play, etcetera.

ok im stuck

the candle and the chalice. i cant seem to pick up the bucket or put wine in the chalice

if anyone could help...

edit: filled the chalice with wine and salt but that bucket seems to like its corner
edit: NVM finished....random ending.
