@Shining, No you don't need to combine items.

Just try them all out on Lilli, one by one. If the first attempt don't work, try it another time. It didn't work for me at first try.

Can't play the game I think it has to do with my updating AM gone all wrong. I have TWO Adventure Makers instead of one.....

You should be able to play it.
Do you mean two AM versions? Or two of the same version?

Funny game!
My personal suggestions would be to remove already used items from the inventory; to make sure that you can't pick up items multiple times, and to change the cursor for clickable hotspots - it was too much pixel hunting for my taste

About the remove items from inventory I didn't know there was an option to do that I though once used they would dissapear (And I still don't know how to remove them :haha)
My original plan WAS to change it to a cursor when over a hotspot but then when I finished and started uploading the game I realized I forgot to !

Seems i'm going to have to purchase the full version of adventure maker soon

When you're using the Manage Inventory Items, you drag the item where you wish to use it, right?
Just go to the Action Tab of the window that pops up, and check "Remove the dragged item from the inventory".
