Green key won't work on door?

Look at the backside of the picture:you see 2 2² 2³=2 4 8.Click the first number at the safe 2 the seceond 4 and the third 8.Click now the fourth until it shows an n. Do same at the third,second, and first and it will show you the word open

You first need the red slider and the marker

You need a

third slide. Click around the inside of the green cabinet to find it. Use it in the slide projector and then use an item where it tells you to.

Thank you. Hate to be a bother, but, which item? I used all the items I have in that spot and nothing.

Thank you, Juhuwoorps, but, I have done the red slide part. None of my items does anything on that spot is what I mean. I think I might be missing an item, maybe.

But I did that!

It showed me a "PUSH" and an x on the wall. Presumably that means I turn the lights back on, go to that spot and push it? Then use the key? I have tried using all of my items on the spot and I used a real marker on my computer screen to make sure I have the right spot!

I feel like an idiot. I am totally not getting something here.
