Use the saw next to the treadmill when you are zoomed in on the electric socket. Then when you sit it on the ground click the plug.

Combining two things in the inventory

to make the screwdriver

is quite tricky. Just keep trying to drag

the rod to the handle

and hold it roughly in position until it magically joins.
