okay...can't manage to use the green candle on the door behind the bookshelf...and I also have not gotten into any of the rooms downstairs...

i think i got the key from the book which opened the left door

It's a purple book on the bookshelf.

And in between got another end

I'm not sure what changed after I placed the candles. Everything looks the same.
