so if each of the rows adds up to 24...then chess pieces correspond to numbers and you have to put them in the order of the picture on the wall? i thought that would be the safe code but maybe i messed up because it's not working...

I figured out that

the note in the trash was pointing me to a magic square

but something's not right.

My numbers are:

5 P 6 4 2
4 6 1 K 6
3 2 6 5 Q
9 6 N R 4
3 3 9 5 4

Figured out that

Pawn = 7
King = 7
Queen = 8
Knight = 2
Rook = 3

Tried putting them in order as in picture, but safe won't open.

Help? Please?

Yes, that's right . Maybe you need to calulate them again. The code changes everytime but mine was

51366 and in another try was 92663

that safe code worked for me, but... the key i got from safe unlocks the floor hatch, and I can't open it !!

order should be 83277...click the rectangular space-bar looking button and then the safe handle
