plug in christmas tree lamps

but I don't see any effect

key (from under dust bin), plugged in tree, found pc code

Used

key in door, found battery (used), found new key

used new key in kitchen, found red box (needs code)

Think opening safe gives Good Ending?

Not sure about the safe in the dark closet. There are not that many 4 digit codes in the game and like you I used all the ones I saw.
