you turn on the fan by using the remotecontrol wich you find behind the lowest drawer, the batteries can be found in the clock in one of the shelfs (just use the coin wich you can find in the little boks by kutting it with the knife) then but the batteries in the solar charger and put it bak where you found it, turn the light back on (maybe wait a bit) and then turn the light off again, then you just take the batteries out and put them in the remote, klick it on the fan

I feel silly I can't find the knife anywhere...

EDIT: been searching for 15 mins or so... looked on another forum can't figure out where its supposed to be exactly. I really don't see it
