go to the pink desk then put the paper on the desk. then select pencil and click on the paper.

in the diary it says Saturday, and there is a hint about sun-moon-sun on the note. So I thought it had something to do with the next day.
After trying Sunday which didn't work, I tried after a long time of thinking just randomly things concerning the next day, and "tomorrow" worked

How do you get the

batteries out of the magic wand?

So far I have tried

clicking on the whole thing and the on/off switch part to flip around to a compartment and have tried using the screwdriver, but I'm not finding any battery panel.

at its bottom. You need to zoom it, then click around until it's turned; and if I remember well use screw driver after that
