Valli...You can use a calculater. I did.
Just write down the numbers on the back of the three cat food boxes that correspond with the shape. Then, Jack gave the other numbers in a previous post. The star was 8, and the round thingy with a dark part in the center was 9. Write that equation down on paper, and then do the math. I got rid of my cheat sheet for it already, though.

The MATHS?????
Okay, the hints to this point have been "do the math" fine. the answer is:
first the order:
the green box item with the back of the box is 4
the brown item that was found in front of the door which is magically the value 9
the blue box item with the back of the box is 7
the pink box item with the back of the box is 4
so that is 4,974
some one earlier magically figured out that the star is the value 8
so the MATHS is
4,974
x 8
_______
39,784
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
thing in pink box 3
brown donut 9
thing in blue box 7
star 8
thing in green box 4
The end it introduces us to the "real" kitties. Too precious!!!

out with no help! I love the 3 cats! it was a little time consuming with the math--i did it the long way, which was funny since I was terrible in math growing up. Maybe I just needed to age some!basically you know three of the numbers from the bag, so the equation is:
4 ? 7 3
x.......?
---------
[][][][][]
Since you have to use all five cat treats, each one has to have a different number. Since you already know the 4/7/3 and can't repeat any number, the first ? on the top row can be either 1/2/5/6/8/9 and the second ? on the bottom can be either 5/6/8/9 (the bottom ? can't be 1 or 2, because the answer needed five numbers, and putting a 1 or 2 on the bottom always gave a four digit answer. ) I knew the answer had the numbers 7/4/3 in them, because we already know these from the bags. Basically, as you did the multiplication, you tried to figure out which 2 numbers that you used gave you a five digit answer with the 7/4/3 and the two numbers you used. When I did it, I found that the "dot" treat was 9, and the star treat was 8. It is funny, because this was the very last thing I could try, and I realize if I had tried my answers the other way around, I would have finished about 10 minutes faster, plus I wouldn't have had to do so much multiplication! Hope that explanation helped about the math!
