Grrrr, the pda / mobile phone was my only stumbling block on this one. I was clicking around like mad until I became fed up.....

And just glared at it for a bit. Just give it about 10 seconds without clicking anything and the solution appears

Well, I got out with perfect end without ever finding the eyedropper, whatever that was for and without finding the red code. Just "bashed" out.
