If you are still looking for the code to the box in the drawer:

look at the blue box and apply the coordinates. The number that lies in each coordinate spot is the code for the box in the drawer.

now- anyone understand the letters on the fireplace? or what we are supposed to do with the chains?

Are all the rows supposed to add up to 24? I can't make it work. I did that but the blue box won't open.

i dont understand how to do co-ords.
the blue box adds up to 24 on top, middle & bottom row across ways. not up & down ;-)

yes they do. I think I also had to

click on the other 3 spots where the coordinates directed before the box would open (the 3 black ones, not the greenish one)

figured out the word, but still no idea for the chains...

brain- they don't need to add up and down, just crossways- open spoiler above & see if that helps
