I burned the place down. Im not sure if that means I win or not? What happens if you pick run? I cant be bothered going through it again. I just guessed the answers the 1st time.

Me to Tanuki - pressed 9 on the code pad and was out in 15 secs...
A bug perhaps? See now that this was rather a bad ending!! Trying again.
The skip function was noticably abscent during the start sequece errrh

The hint says 'do by column not row' and is refering to relationship between bloodstain pattern on roof and keypad

Eg. on roof first 'column' of tiles contains 3 stains i.e press all numbers in first column of keypad 1-4-7.

No, you can get to other rooms, but I don't remember what was the code for that.
