stuck in the room with the iron chest, cant find anything or do anything, anyone got out of it yet????

Woohoo iv'e finished it had to get code from somewhere else but it's the first time i have got so far without the need of a walkthrough

I have done the code in the blue room (after the circuit room) and have got the key knob, but I can't get it to attach to the door?? Is it a glitch or have I missed something.

Edit.. I am stupid I didn't go left!!!!!

Just starting and I've one tool and I've rearranged the furniture. Shutters? Expecting a hurricane? Don't see a water supple or canned food .. needed if you lose power during the storm.
OK - feeling really dumb .. I'd like a clue not a video of the whole solution *sigh*
I restarted.. this time something I tried the first time and it didn't react did this time. Very odd.
ceiling .. hit or miss .. trail and error.
In blue room now
& have one item .. did puzzle .. *sigh* need another item? Need a view? .. need a short break - back shortly.

brain - take one piece at a time - it will "stick" when you have it in right place.
Still stuck in the blue room with one item.
Got lightening - got to turn off .. drat $%$%$% In Xmas room.
Edit - many hours later
and AI'm back. Look for a key in that room. HELP! Just a clue would be nice.

I've opened the chest and have knive and did something else to see a door that requires a key.

At last! I'm out .. won't talk about my score .. took me forever to figure that last bit out.
